Aye! To me, the sound of the shortshots while riding the bike was obnoxious. I don't know how it sounded to other people as I was riding by them but while riding the bike all that noise coming out of the pipes directly below my ears was like BLAHHHHHHHHHHHH BLAHHHHHHHHHHHH BLAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. That's why I say you may change your mind about how they sound once you ride a bike with them.
