I figured I'd try it and have been happy with it.

Don't forget that you can also tighten the little star-shaped throttle adjusting screw to your liking.

I remember seeing a post where a guy purchased a little thumb lever for his and it was much easier for him to utilize while riding. I wish I could remember where that was....

Yup! I think that's the one. Wish I'd have found that a week ago.

Actually it was yesterday...

I relocated the front turn signals to the lower triple tree clamp. Never did like them on the handlebars.

Today, I scheduled my 1000 mile service. Figured I'd let the dealer do the first one. Hope they get a good look at the bike, because unless something MAJOR happens it probably will be the last time the service department sees the bike. Nothing against them, I just prefer to do my own maintenance.

I'm **** about stuff...

Pulled the rear cylinder head to take it to a friend to have the broken stud/easy out milled out and retapped. Hopefully have it back this weekend. Decided since I have one pulled off I may as well pull the other and have my cylinders honed by a race shop nearby.

Got started on my list for my new to me 48.

Exhaust heat shields removed and sent off to be stripped and recoated. Rattle can BBQ paint was rubbing off in some spots and just plain atrocious on the front slip on.

Tank off to inspect the PO's wire tuck and make some room to remove some, if not all, of the previously installed 4.5" tank lift. It's kind of cool but seemed a little proud of itself if you know what I mean.

Hopefully the will get the crusty rocker covers cleaned up by the time the exhaust is done.
