That's exactly why I'm waiting on the exhaust. I looked at the Fuel Moto head pipe. But, if it's literally the same as a decatted OEM pipe, won't it sound the same ? I like that the stock shields fit on the FM...
This is the Fuel Moto and Fullsac MX pipes, both use stock heat shields.
Fuel Moto Jackpot Fullsac MX
It is a very easy process, about a 30-40 min job. The tone of my bike changed and I'm still not digging it. I have RCX 4.5 slip ons and since the decat it has a weird hollow tone. I was gonna buy a stocker with the cat in it and put back on but I'm looking hard at the Fullsac MX headpipe, might go that route. Good luck with yours!
Have you tried with baffles back in to see if that hollow sound sounds better?
Just checked the mail and the Tuner was delivered. I'm waiting for the K&N now. Looking forward to putting them on the RGS...
You will love the FP3, could not be any easier to use, no cables, no computers, no recording things and having to go home and connect a PC to download. Check out throttle progressivty, aggressive and race settings gives you instant, crisp throttle response, makes a huge difference. Also bump your idle up to 925-950 in all the fields that show 850, that also makes a big difference. Good luck and enjoy your ride!

Quik,
Curious what affect does bumping up the idle have? I always thought a lower idle gives more lope at idle. Heck since my stage one upgrade, my idle seems higher...like closer to 1050 or so. I wanted it back down.
There is a "potential" low oil pressure situation with the 850 idle, Harley also bumped the street tuner to a 950 default because of it. You are correct, lower does sound better but on my SGS 850 almost gave me a stall feeling at traffic lights. I tried 950 and it did make a big difference, I bumped it back down to 910 and gonna give that a try.

Ahh thanks for the info. I always like that old school harley lope though. One where you could almost count the cylinder firings.
So far, so good. The FP3 is on and tuned via recommendations by a V&H Tech and a canned MAP. (Even though I have a stock bike exhaust with a K&N Air Filter, I have a MAP using V&H Monster Oval Slip Ons and an adjusted throttle progressivity) The Tech states that in 1-2 tanks of fuel, the ECM will adjust some on its own. If there are problems after, try Autotuning. We'll see over this weekend...
I'm impressed. I didn't know what to expect with only an A/C (K&N HD 1717), Tuner/MAP...So far, my Butt Dyno says it's much better. For lack of a better description, I'd have to say "more responsive "... I was lamenting the loss of warranty but, I have heard maybe Harley was going to allow the FP3 ?
