Closer to the current Deluxe sans bags.

Yeah I agree totally, the big rear tire kills it for me. To bad cuz i think its a tuff looking bike.

I've seen this pic of the two bikes a lot, just so every one knows the top bike is a 52 hydraglide that someone painted the front end black. The headlight and fork legs were chrome/aluminum not blacked out. The only model hydraglide with black front legs was the 1949 and its headlight was also not black.

The 240 tire is $355.95 in the HD shop.

My first Harley was a fully restored 1956 Panhead that I paid $2000 for --- ladies and gentlemen, comparing the new Heritage to that sweet old girl would be nothing short of sacrilegious... Just for giggles, money aside, is there really someone who would choose the looks of the new Heritage over the Panhead in the above comparison photo?

I'm looking at the 114 Heritage Classic. Never thought I'd seriously consider replacing my Fat Boy Lo but I love the lighter weight and the way the new Heritage handles. The only thing I don't care for is the spoke wheels and skinny tires, used to the 200mm rear tire on Gertie! All in all the biggest selling point is I won't have to change anything except the pipes when available, I have sewing machines that are louder!

Totally agree Tramp, but I want to ride a bike that can survive today's traffic, speeds and freeways. In my opinion the 18 Heritage does a great job of meeting those needs while honoring the past.

I haven't been able to take any decent ones that didn't have flood crap in the background! Hell, haven't been able to ride her much because of the flood cleanup. This is a shot from the showroom. The bike right behind her is the Twisted Cherry paint I'll trade the tins for. Don't really mind the rusty color but just can't do that dull, denim finish! I'll get a good outside pic this weekend.
