Woke up to this loveliness on my fender today. Just want to make sure it can't be something mechanical. Almost looks like someone took tin snips to it and went on a bending spree.

Not sure what's worse the sticker on that beautiful front end or the damage.

Did you have brake work done lately? Brake pads/pieces OK?

No brake work recently. They seem fine but I'll look again today. I'm just wondering because I hit a massive pothole the other day wondering if that could have caused it.

Absolutely....must have been a clearance issue already present.

Any marks on the sidewall? Looks like something got kicked up and pushed out the side of the fender. Missing any tape on wheel weights?

Looks like some kind of road debris got caught in there. Bad luck. Have to take it off and get it fixed.

You could use some tie down straps to fully compress the front end and see if anything hits, but I don't think that's where your problem is. My money is on some chunk of road debris getting flung up.

Also, give that rotor a good once over and make sure nothing spinning broke loose.

There is something that you can install, it maybe called an inspection sticker holder. I see all the NY and PA guys use those in conjunction with their license plates.

It is a shame to put a sticker on the beautiful front end.

Yep. When I lived in NY, I had one of these.
