I was having the same problem finding a seat and everything shows 1993 and up. But it was fun watching the local dealer try to find info on the fxdc for 92. They took a few days called around and got all the info I've needed so far. And yes 91-95 is the same frame apparently.

Hey guys, I bought this bike about a month ago. I was doing some research and was wondering if it could possibly be one of the "Rare fxdc's"? The guy I bought it from said it was a 1992 Dyna Super Glide.
I also just picked up one of the rare 1992 FXDC's. This bike and I were born in the same year. This bike was tucked back in a garage with only 20K miles and in excellent condition. Its a little dirty but will be shined back up soon!
Bought this recently for $3995. I was told it is a daytona edition? This is my first HD, and my first bike in 10 years. I have read some things about it being rare, is this true?
I think I am the owner of a scarce 1992 fxdc. I went to my local stealer yesterday to inquire about getting a new seat (solo or badlander low profile) First partsman said HD did not make a fxdc in 1992 and I said bullshi.... its in the parking lot... Second partsman corrected first partsman and said yes hd did make 1992 fxdc one year and it was a frame change mod 1992 only. I need to look at aftermarket seats and I cant seen to find one for that bike. Can someone point me to a reliable seat source? Also can the board historian comment on this bike. I think something like 3000 were built and prolly not many are left in original condition like mine. Thanks for any input form the heads in the know!!
Just picked her up 19,000 miles 92 FXDC ghost grey
I also have a 1992 FXDC. I have been reading some of this & you guys make me REALLY glad I have selfishly held on to it even when others tried to convince me to "get a new bike ". I love my Dyna and she fits me perfectly. 98K miles & still going.
She's been " the slowest" bike in Ks many yrs inspite of the fact she's not really slow, except when intentionally done. Lol
