Dave -yep I thought about that.

When I talked to them, I shared that it would have been better if they had to tender connection on the cable - since I would use tender more that possible jumps.

There is a second part to this- a converter from jump plug to tender plug. They liked the idea and will consider making that a change. If they do that, I will order one.

If you look at their site - you can see what I mean by the jump/tender connector. If you don't see it, I will take a picture

Default For what it's worth...

Mchad gets a shout out for tuning me onto this set up. It came today, so I thought I'd snap some pixs before I install it.

This is my Juno brand lithium battery pack. You can jump start any bike from it along with charging any usb device. It's the size of an iphone.

This is the Juno with the http://earthxbatteries.com/shop/20-l...p-start-cables.

This is the Juno with the tender fitting off, (at top) and slightly plugged into the battery with the http://earthxbatteries.com/shop/20-l...p-start-cables.

OKO - glad yours arrived.

Did you see my note - the cable they sent us is different that what was pictured on their site It is also different than the picture on the packaging. Since I called them, they have not removed the item from their site

If you install, it looks like there will be a lot of wire to hide somewhere under the bike. Plus, the install is for jumping - and I use the tender more than the jump.

This is why I suggested they consider putting the tender connection on instead of the jumper connection. Then, they can use the convertor for jumping

When you get yours installed, let me know how much space it took up.

cycle7447- I got what I wanted from them, but now I can't find it on their site. ???
Look at the photos above. In the 2nd one you can see the tender male/female end. In the 3rd photo, you can see where you can pull it apart to plug in a lithium jump battery.

This is exactly what I wanted. I can use the battery tender and then pull the fitting apart & use the jump battery when I need to. As for running the wires, I'm just gonna follow the path that the tender cable that came with my 2016 Ultra Limited follows.

For $22.99 plus shipping, it's a no-brainer for me. And it's not a "hunna dolla" HD part!

Ok0 - I know what you are saying. As I mentioned, when I called, they realized that what they showed on the site was different from what they sent - so, I guess they took it down to fix it.

Yes I know about the second part - and I have that too. Look at the package that this came in. Look at pars 1 and part 2 - they are different from what they sent you.

I think it is better to have the tender connector attached all the time - and plug in the jumper if you need it.

The issue then becomes the current limitation of the SAE 2 wire connector. They aren't used for connections on jumper cables for a reason; limited to about 16 A maximum.

Perhaps they are not using a standard SAE 2 Wire: This is from their site:

Engineered and designed to carry 400 amps of energy without melting the wire by using 150 strand insulated copper wire. The standard SAE fitting will fit any standard portable jump pack on the market today. (this is the one that is connected to the tender plug - then you attach the jumper connector in case you need to jump).

It I did this, I would first get the advise of my dealer service department

Definitely not standard tender cable. I can assure you that it’s at least 10 or 12 ga wire, and I have jumped bikes at lease 4 times without anything melting. (This was before I had access to AC in the location I park my bikes - now I do so no more jumps needed for those mid winter rides)

It’s a shame they changed it, it’s been available for years now, I bought my first at least 2 years ago. And it worked great. In case anyone’s wondering, the red box holds a big fuse soldered inline.

Oko - glad it worked out for you.

Here’s one I bought a while back that I put together for my Road Glide, before I got a parking spot near an outlet (condo shared garage). Haven’t crimped on the rings yet. I added a mesh sleeve to help with abrasion resistance. Again, overkill...

Oh, and antigravity batteries sells a similar harness to what Oko got...

https://shop.antigravitybatteries.co...jump-starting/

With the SAE adapter it’s effectively the same thing.

Mchad - thanks again. Their cable is just 12 inches long - this might be a better fit for under the bike.

Oko - how well did the 20 inch cable you got fit?

Maybe I will get the new cable and have it installed. Then, I can just leave the other part of the connector on my tender.
