I don't have a problem with wind noise with my present light half helmet.
I did do a 4,857 mile ride 10-12 hrs a day in a modular due to the sun exposure and debris.
Some come with a chin piece to keep the air from coming in except through the designed inlets.
Try different designs- I have two mods and 3 halfs.
A neat trick is to wrap a small towel around your neck before putting your helmet on- a water tight seal.
My Hawk came with a built in Bluetooth and headset.

Shoei 3/4 RJ Platinum R....quietest helmet I’ve ever owned...actually just bought a brand new one and one for the wife, both have J&M Elite headsets in them... will try them out soon...Just got back from the mountains, wore the old 3/4 one day and the half the other, wish I had worn the 3/4 both days but the foam in the old on is starting to disintegrate...the liner foam that is... time for the trash.

Half helmet when required by law, otherwise a skull cap.

On the Wide Glide I use earbuds with music, on the Limited nothing.

Aria Defiant Full Face.

No issues and designed for upright riding.

Many helmets are designed with the upright rider/cruiser rider in mind.

Harley FXRG full face, the first carbon fiber model. It is light but a little noisy.
Shoei RF800, pretty quiet
About to get either the Shoei RF 1200 or GT Air. I haven't tried them both on yet but am leaning towards the GT Air.

Schuberth C3 Pro. One of the quietest, but there's a drawback - very little ventilation. The neck roll and chin curtain are tight against your neck, allowing very little noise, and air, up into the helmet. Stoplights require a visor raise almost immediately. I hear the C4 successor isn't getting rave reviews for noise reduction.

Either this (rarely these days)...

or this (mostly)...

And these (always)...

Never have any issues with this combination. Can wear the ear plugs all day comfortably (forget they are there). Attenuation is just right (not too much or too little).

I am kind of with you this. The biggest (only?) problem for me with the C3 Pro is this:

The ventilation is actually excellent in normal use. But - if you have the integrated sun shade down, then the air that would normally blow on your face is blocked by the sun shield.

And the ventilation for the sides and rear is unintuitive. You can flip it on or off, but there are also "flaps" inside the helmet that have to be moved to the correct position to let this air flow through or not. i think it's to do with keeping warm in cold weather.

Anyway....I live in the UK, so we don't have too many really hot riding days, but I still do like to crack the visor at stop lights.

I love the Bell Pit Boss. On my second one in five years. I also have a 3/4 and full face. All are noisy. I wear ear plugs and it makes the ride much more enjoyable. Invest in good ones.
