Default Exhaust ground clearance

Do I need to raise the rear end with a lift kit or can I install my pipes without fear of them bottoming out? I'm one impatient individual. the pipes are V & H twin slash rounds slip on's.

If you don't mind scraping them from time to time , Then no you don't need it.....But that said there are more advantage's to the lift kit than just Not scraping pipes......

Kind of strange that Harley Davidson can not realize that even the stock pipes drag right out of the factory and do something about it. On a test drive of 2018 I noticed they scrapped on a parking lot exit, and it was not very much of an angle. I placed Lift Kit on our 2013 within the first 1,000 miles.

I scraped the stock pipes while leaving a parking lot, but it was a steep angle on the transition to the road. Haven't been back in that parking area since I changed to the Cobra pipes.

I installed a DK Customs Comfort Lift Kit, no more dragging the pipes and the control of the trike is superb. Jim

Go for the lift kit. Not only your pipes won't scrape anymore but handling will greatly improve.

Like a few here have already said, not only will the lift kit will help to ensure that you do not bottom out, handling is improved immensely as well because the trike is leveled out a bit.

Here is a pic showing before and after:
