Didn't mean to come off as a whiner. I know most of us are at an "advanced" age and putting up with pain. I just feel like I missed a very important summer.
The bee venom thing is interesting, I'll ask my doctor about it. I'm allergic to bee stings though. Been stung several times in the last few years and an aspirin poultice has done the trick. I also take cherry juice every day for arthritis and gout. It usually helps (haven't had a gout attack in several years) but it didn't help my wrist. I think it's just "worn out", but if I can deal with some pain, I think I can get back on the bike. I would sure hate to lose that!
The wrist started hurting at night, and then I babied it. The hurting at night quit, but I continued to baby it until my strength was really down. That was a mistake, I should have gotten the cortisone right away, and maybe it would have been better sooner. I've heard horror stories about cortisone shots, but it was really nothing. Just a little sting when the needle went in.
I've got a 1950 AR that was my grandpa's, and a 1953 40. My using tractor is a 1973 1020 diesel with a JD 48 loader. The AR is my toy and the 40 is really handy in the garden.
Hate you missed the riding, just work on wrist next few months be ready for spring
Working on it. Most of the pain is gone, but the therapy is slow in getting my strength back. My fault, because I babied it too long before going to a doctor. A buddy of mine gave me a grip attachment (forget the name) so I won't have to twist the throttle. That should help a lot.
