Default Best SGS seat for looks & comfort?

OK don't get me wrong, I love my Hammock seat for touring and riding two-up, but I've got to admit it's a little on the ugly side.

I recently taught my wife to ride and she's now got her own Sporty, so I'm doing a lot more solo riding. I'm thinking of a second seat for day trips and town cruising, one that's a little more compatible with the looks of the Street Glide.

I really like the looks of the Corbin Gunfighter and the La Pera Silhouette, but don't know how comfortable they would be after a few hours in the saddle. Also I don't want anything really low (I like the height of the Hammock). I am also considering just sending the stock seat to Mean City.

Feedback from anyone else who has gone this route would be appreciated.

I went with the Mustang Solo seat w/backrest. Then you have a choice of rear seats (and choice or sizes) for your passenger. I usually leave mine off for the good look and its only one screw to add it if and when I want to ride someone.

I sent mine off my 2016 SGS to Mean City and had them redo it. I liked the results and it was a lot cheaper than even a used seat.Transferred same seat to my 2017 SGS.

I also have a Mustang solo with backrest for normal riding and the Hammock for trips

Most comfortable solo seat I have had yet is the cvo solo. I can put 8 hour days on it no problem back to back

Thanks for the feedback. I like the look of the full length seat with a tapered back, but don't want to kill my butt. Most of my day rides are a couple hundred miles or so.

Got surprised with a Xmas bonus this week, may be going with the Le Pera Outcast.

If I were setting up my bike for strictly solo riding I think I'd go with the tractor style police saddle. I personally like the retro style and the consensus is they are extremely comfortable.

As mentioned earlier, send your stock to Mean City Cycles, have them recover it and do the ironbutt mod. This is by far, your best option.
