3 out of 4 times when fueling up someone will compliment my Road King. I can be with others riding with me on more expensive models, several times people have walked by and asked about mine. My buddies say "We don't get it.... it's just a plain black Road King". I laugh and reply.... "That guy got it!"

The best one was outside a Subway restaurant at a strip mall. I was getting my jacket and helmet on and a really crippled up little old man was shuffling by with one of those canes with the 3 rubber tips. He didn't even look at me or stop. Just kinda waved his cane at the primary side and said, "That 103 mean the horsepower?" I said no, it's the cubic inch displacement. He just grunted and said, "Shoulda' got an Indian."
I came out of a Home Depot and there was an "older guy" leaning against his truck looking at my bike. When I got to it, he started taking about his past bikes and how he missed riding. We talked about 10 minutes about bikes and I found out he was a Nam Vet too. That led to 10 more minutes of memories. It was a good meeting between 2 people that a lot in common.
