Building and air cleaner with a hidden velocity stack . I am about to do some motor work on my FXDLS , A 58mm throttle body is part of the plan . Last year I bought an S&S air cleaner kit to replace the heavy breather that came with the bike new , I didn't care for the look or function of the heavy breather.

Here's what I got so far , the work continues , more parts to make and I am ordering the 3" K&N element for the upgraded S&S filter.

Starting with a piece of 4"

Parting off the adaptor.

Six holes to drill.

Adaptor almost ready , counter bored , three to be threaded.

adaptor and velocity stack , from the same peice of 4"

Trial fit of the first three parts , more work to do .......

Gearhead,

Nice work! I love one-off parts!

Before you clean up the chips and button up the intake, you might consider revising the bell mouth.

https://www.performancebyie.com/blog...ght-bellmouth/

Considering the airflow directions and close proximity of the stack to the cover, I think a generous radius on the bell mouth would benefit you tremendously. Food for thought.

Got my locking saddlebags and quick release brackets all keyed alike. Hopefully this weekend I will be able to install them and the engine guard.

Default Let it rest

in the garage next to the water heater as I deem it too cold and rainy to ride today. Unusual in Phoenix but it's been rainy and cold all day. Should be OK tomorrow though.

lol, i did. i immediately asked them about it. it's for the monza 2.0 on 2018s. Will said that there'd be an updated 2.0 for us next year (at least that's how it read his response).

the fairing mounts are stupid nice too.

I know right? The quality is insane. I keep telling people the pictures don’t do it justice. And once they see them in person, they are amazed. We got the first three fairing mounts that Will made. They’ll be going on mine, my brother’s and my dads bike. No better way to promote them than to run them.
