New 2017/18 Paint
It's iteresting you bring that up. Your quite right, but....my springer is marked, mostly due to the first owner. One right on the tank, and through the pinstripe to the primer. Lots of other little marks, swirls and scratches too.
The one one the t really annoys me like an itch I can't reach....but I ride the springer over these quake damaged roads like a motorcross. Back tire spitting gravel , floor boards grinding, and loss of traction as you catch a bit of air from going over one of the many earthquake surprise fisher/bike swallowing pot holes. It gets put away dirty, and cleaned irregularly. I dont worry too much. I just have a TON of fun on her.
As Olive awaits her service, the bones does battle with Christchurch. And I enjoy that marked up motocross bobber just as much. So it's not just the color, it's just bikes. And I enjoy bikes because after living through over 5000 (yes over 5000 sizeable )nerve and house shattering quakes and regenerative dissapoiment thst comes from picking up your broken stuff after a quake..again and again.. you get what's important. Typically it's the next breath of the people closest to you.
And when the grounds not shaking, I can still ride betty bonez springs over the rough roads in the city, or olives glass mono out of the city. Thinking every time, I'm going to do everything I can to make it back here to thoes people, and I hope there going to be ok till I do. But I digress.... The point was, perfect paint doesn't always make the perfect ride, but I'm still interested in the process used on the bikes and the results that thoes processes get us : )
