"This is her! 100% bone stock. I need to get a new seat and windshield ASAP!
Have any of you had problems with the 110 overheating? I’ve noticed if I’m running her hard and I stop at a gas station or something, I have to wait until she completly cools down or she’s won’t start up. This is really my only concern bc I don’t want to end up stranded in BFE.
Thank you all for the info., I’ll post some pics when I get back at the end of the month.""
Not quite bone stock. I see that there swing arm bag. Looks good.
I have never had issues restarting my bike while hot, and I have around 9,000 miles on her now. I would take it back to the dealer to look at.
If you have to wait till it will start something is wrong....I would NEVER tolerate something like that from a vehicle. They are not supposed to operate that way.
I did ROT in 2015 combined with Hill Country and Twisted Sister ride on my 2007 Night Train. My major mods were a Sundowner seat and a windshield, these were the 2 mods that allowed me to do the miles. I also have Progressive 422's with RAP and Progressive montubes in front.
Yes I heard ear plugs can be a lifesaver!! I will def pick up a pair..
I don’t have a sissy bar, luggage rack, or brackets either..Do any of you know if I can just buy a bungee net and just try and strap down a duffle bag to my rear fender or should I not even chance it?
As for the hot start problem, I thought it was a pretty common problem bc I’ve read multiple threads on here that have described the same issue... When it first happened, I was riding all day and when I went to restart I heard a loud knocking noise as it was struggling to turn over. HD provided a tow truck and in a couple days they returned my call (of course they couldn’t duplicate the problem) and said it was “a battery issue” which they changed out and warranty covered. It has only happened once since then.. I waited a couple of minutes and it started just fine. I’ve come to the conclusion as long as I don’t push her too hard it doesn’t happen...
I’m not confident strapping things down with a bungee cord on top of the fender with a solo seat. However would see what other guys have done. You may have to have some hooks or quick release bolts to wrap your cords around. I always had a fear of straps coming off and getting caught in the wheel or worse yet around me!

Had same issue 15 years ago on Jap bike it turned out to be some electrical condenser that was overheating. Exact same symptoms.
cargo net might be better option for you - cost abt 20$ from stealer and never gave me trouble so far

Ear plugs for me are must, or even better ear buds hooked up to my music. You can securely strap down a duffle bag without a backrest with the right straps and good tie down points. Rok straps work awesome. http://rokstraps.com/. Without a fender rack at least you will scratch up your fender though.
Did you get the latest firmware update for your bike. It was focused on easier starting. I have never had a problem restarting my bike, and I ride it like I stole it most days.
You should look at getting the same rack I got. It is from Mother well, and is very inexpensive. It would allow you to put a bag on without scratching your rear fender. It also looks good on the bike with no luggage.
