There was another SOLO SEAT thread a few weeks back with very few responses.
I've copied my response from that one and posted it below.

It came with an aftermarket HD springer solo seat.
I didnt expect much from it but was shocked to discover that it was every bit as comfy as that touring Sundowner seat.
Once again, I found myself riding all day long on an often cussed stock suspension.
Here are a few of the HD options...
I'm sure many of the other manufacturer's springer solo seats ride just as well.
Purists will bust your ***** for mixing a springer seat with shocks... I DIDN"T CARE!
The ride was SMOOTH!
I eventually replaced it, but not because of ride quality.
It didn't fit "the look" I was after.
Even though I replaced that Springer solo, I have absolutely no problem recommending one... UNLESS... it doesn't fit a specific look you're after.
I've got 3 Mustangs 1 Saddleman
1 2-up very comfortable but I don't ride 2-up
1 solo with studs very comfortable
1 solo with backrest. I like this one the best because of the backrest but it moved me forward and up the only downside.
1 Saddleman, looks good but not enough padding.
some options...
Mustang Wide Vintage Solo with removable backrest
Mustang Wide Tripper Solo with removable backrest
Mustang Wide Tripper Solo with removable backrest, passenger pillon with QD HD sissy with backrest
Stock 2-up reshaped and reupholstered
Mustang Tripper Fastback 2-up
Lepera Aviator
Here is my Heritage with a Corbin solo seat. After I purchased the Limited for all day riding comfort, I converted the Heritage to solo riding. I found the seat on eBay cheap. I guess conchos are not that popular but it looks good with the saddle bags. The seat is rather comfortable.
I have a harley knockoff spring seat. As far as I can tell it’s identical to Harley’s except half the price. For me it was more of looks thing but reasonabley comfortable
