During the "extraction" I noticed the clutch cable is wet and an oily spot on the floor.
Not too much, yet embarrassing. I did some research and it looks like there is no rubber seal where the clutch cable goes in. Only O-ring #6), but it looks like a washer, not seal. Will simple replacement of the washer fix the problem?
Decided its time to replace those broken exhaust studs and since the only way to do it is to remove the heads, I'll put new valve seals and rub properly valves into seats. A machine shop will also shave the heads tinny tiny bit, nothing crazy, more like polishing.
Just pick up the heads from the machine shop.
Broken exhaust studs - fixed;
Valve guides - replaced;
Valve seats checked and valves were re-rubbed into the seats.
They decided no to machine the surface of the heads that touches the head gaskets, so we won't mess up the hight of the combustion chambers.
I'll just polish them gently, so there won't be any paint on it.
