Default Gap around radio

2016 street glide, there is a gap around the infotainment system and it looks like ****. I’ve taken the system out and tried finagling things, and tried readjusting the fairing and put it radio back in. Still cannot get the radio to sit properly against the inner fairing. It looks as though the two fairing support brackets upon which the radio bolts down to are positioned too high. However, there is no way to change the way they sit as those brackets attach to the lower fork bracket. Anyone else have a gap around their infotainment or seen this issue? Not my bike, working on it for a bud. New handlebars had been previously installed, but there does not appear to be any clearance issues that would alter the inner fairing. The fairing looks straight, just the radio that looks off. What am I missing?

You are right that it isn't right. Has the bike had any collision damage that you know of?

Kinda looks like the face plate of the radio should be slipped into that groove in bottom of the dash opening.

When I put the 1"1/4 bars on mine I had to dremel a little to get my fairing front to sit all the way down where it did before the bars.

Dremel the bars, or dremel the fairing? How much and where did you take off? Did your radio look like this one prior to using the dremel?

I had to dremel the inner fairing as the bars were holding it out.

Just an update to this thread, the guy grabbed a take-off inner fairing and I’m swapping it out now. Upon loooking at the original fairing, it was deformed in the area where the gap was. New inner fairing shows no gap!

Mine is like that too but it sees a lot of sunlight. 38k miles worth right now. Probably deformed from heat
