Im in the middle of customising a 2014 Forty Eight.
As part of the build I was wanting to run Legend Air Suspension, but because I have ABS Legend have informed me the compressor wont fit ABS models....bummed!
l was hoping that others might have found away around this and would share some information on how they did it.
Also if anyone can post any pics of the Legend compressor fitted on there none ABS Sportsters.
I want undstand how I might be able to customise it to make it fit.
Youd need to find an alternate mounting location for the compressor and ensure the hose length. The abs module sits where the compressor would normslly mount
That may simply be because the ABS unit is where Legend currently installs their kit. Time for some imaginative/creative alternative thinking - it's called customising. Or ask Legends when they will have a suitable kit available!
Yes customisation seems to be the path Im heading down.
As mentioned some good pics of the unit installed on a non ABS would help in planning the customisation.
Surely of all the Sportster Members on here someone must have installed Air Suspension on a ABS model.
I've been interested in this mod for a while. Would love to know how it ended up for you?
Did you manage to fit it? Mind sharing the process? Where you ended up mounting the compressor?
