I just bought a 2012 Ultra Classic limited and it looks like the bike came with a REACH seat. Now I am 5'11" 185 lb guy, so I would say I am sort of average height guy. The seat feels comfortable, but I really do not have a good reference point, as I was used to a DYNA and this is way more comfortable. Does anyone have suggestions about seats? Also, I need to get a backrest. Would appreciate recommendations on backrests.
Regarding a backrest, I'm assuming you will get a few recommendations for the "adjustable" backrest. This one works fine for me:
One more point, if you plan on changing seats, I wouldn't commit to a backrest before choosing a seat. Some seats [Mustang for example] require their own backrest and other brands will not work with their seat.
Thanks for the feedback. This is a pic of the seat that came on the bike. The dealer said that the previous owner changed the seat to move forward a bit, so I was thinking this might be a REACH seat. Anyway, I have been riding on it a few weeks now and it feels pretty comfy!! I think I am probably going to stay with this seat for the foreseeable future. I would assume that any of the backrests sold by Harley would work with this seat?
