Default new suspension setup for the 48

ok, so after trying the 12" street glide premium shocks and finding the ride too stiff, and too tall, ive decided to go with the upgraded 2017 stock sportster emulsion shocks which will be a little better than the stock 2014 sportster shocks and bring the height back down. the reason i'm trying these is i'm getting the shocks for free, so it's worth it. with the progressive front fork springs, & with the ricon intiminator fork valves. paired up with the mustang vintage solo seat, it should be a much better ride for less than $350, even for a sportster. hopefully have this all done by next weekend.

obviously you didn't catch the part of the post that says i got the shocks for free. and for less than $350 total, i should have an upgraded ride....for a sportster.
no disrespect, but i know how to spend my money, and $1000 for rear shocks for a sportster, i'm not doing...

Just curious, what bike would you spend that money on shocks on?

when i got home last night, i was a little twisted. i had a few pints of the new jack daniels single barrel select 130 proof at dinner. as a rule, i don't post on the computer when drinking, yet i did. hence the aggressiveness...sorry for that.
for the money, i know those ohlins are great shocks. but last night i'm thinking i'm a genius because i found a way to soften up the ride for only $350, free $600 shocks, $200 seat, $100 fork springs ect...and compared to the money I've wasted on this thing, i did good this time. and here you are throwing $1000 shocks at me lol. i think the alcohol was thinking spending $1000+ on just shocks for a sportster is a lot of money, that it will never ride like my road king no matter what i do to it. it's still a sportster and will always ride like a sportster.
when i first bought the 48, after listening to HD mechanics i spent over $2000 on lyndall custom brake rotors only to find out they wont fit my 48 because Harley decided to change the sizes and brackets in 2014, much to the idiot mechanics at the dealers surprise. so i'm a little touchy on putting more money in this bike lol took me 2 yrs to sell the rotors for $350

i don't think any bike. when i jump on my road king after riding the sportster i think it's a Cadillac. so no reason for me to change the touring shocks.
