A bit of forward planning would have been useful here! If you're going to install CRs at least make the darned things work for you and use auto ones. Other solutions are a more powerful starter, possibly a new battery to match.
The least expensive way would be to find some take off heads with ACR's already attached. I've seen them
for under $250 a pair. Back in 2012 I found a set of new takeoff's for $200 and put them on my 2009 103ci.
Then sold my old ones for $150. So it cost me $50 plus my time. Not a bad price.
They come up for sale frequently. Once there you won't even think about them. The Easy Starts are great.
But will cost you near $600 before you're done. If you're looking to switch cams it's a good way to go. You might even find
a used set for a few hundred. Otherwise I think it's pricey.
Yes the option of finding a used set of heads from a 103 already have auto CR's and harness will plug right in to your computer. Guys are selling them all over Craigs list.
andrews 48h should not need comp releases.I put in those cams and went to 103 with 030 head gaskets at same time and bike starts easy hot or cold.Good tune, good battery and good battery cables. Some cams definitely need comps, check andrews web site?
How much did it cost you to manual compression releases installed?
Big Boyz seems to be cheap but id Like to find a local shop so I dont need to ship back and forth.
Called an Indy $200 plus $90 for the releases if I pull the heads. Another $400 if they pull them.
HD $200 including releases if I pull the heads.
This is making me reconsider installing 48s? Maybe EZ starts would have been a good idea.
I used 585'EZ starts in my big bore kit after trying manuals first with the tman 625s, it just had to much compression for the manuals, The EZ starts have been a dream with no measurable loss of performance according to my butt dyno.
Why not just save your money and get what you really want? You've been talking about a FuelMoto 126" for at least 10 months now.

I bet that 126 will run circles around the M8's. 20 years from now people will be going damn look at that old school Twinkie.
