getting hard starts with the 48 s ? i'm having mine installed now should be done tomorrow
Only on really hot days after fueling up. Even then its maybe about 25% of the time. I already upgraded to the SE Comp after the stock one took a dump. Also had the starter clutch replaced. That was all under ESP which is expired next time that bill is on me so I think releases might be good insurance.
Canned map with a few Auto Tune runs on it, using PV.
Im getting a Dyno once I convince myself that I got it where I want it. After I get it tuned Im not changing anything until I wear it out and do a big build or crate motor.
I just recently replaced my battery. I was having a little trouble starting the bike, hot and cold. Changed the battery and haven't had a single issue since.
My build is different, but maybe thats the issue if the problem is recent.
I have to go back and retune the stereo since changing the battery. The gains are set a touch to high now. Strange
I actually want to and I’m going to pull the heads to change the gasket to a .030 for the bump in compression.
If I’m in there already anyway and going from 9.2:1 - 9.6:1 it would make sense to add releases at this time.
With that said does anyone have a suggestion on where to take my heads in Central Cali? And how much has everyone else paid to put em in?
Just trying for two answers (Where? How much?). I’m not changing cams and not trying for 103 take offs. People trying to get $400 for take offs without the ACR left in them. That leaves me buying ACR’s and the harness.
Im hoping someone can machine mine for $100 or less.
I told you what it cost me for ACRs in another thread, also gave you my warning
From reading all your threads, pull the heads, find someone who will machine them for ACRs, install them and be done with it.
I agree, EZ-start cams are an option (they seem to work well on Indians,) but you like your 48s, and with ACRs you should not have the wear and starting problems you are complaining about ( if properly tuned) and you should get years of service out of your bike (it may outlast you.)
