I really like the fairing & radio and that its a touring bike. And with short legs and it lowered I feel very in control being able to sit flat footed on the bike.
I fell in love with the FXSTD when it showed up on dealership floors back in 2000......took me six years to get one. didn't look at another bike, bought my Deuce with out even sitting on it!
05 EG Standard.I didn't want to go smaller because I knew in 6 months,I'd be wishin I bought a bigger bike.I bought the stripped model so I could build it up the way I wanted to.

My sentiments exactly... Well put Mood Swing... Mine is a work in progress and I love it... Long live the baggers...
'06 Heritage Softail Classic. After much research, this bike seemed like the best of both worlds. I didn't want all the "bells and whistles" that come with the EG, RG, and SG. The RK is nice, but I felt like I was sitting on top of the bike rather than into the bike. Wife did not like the ride on the RG. By removing the HSC's bags and windshield, I can strip it down to a Fat Boy in a matter of minutes. With the bags and windshield installed, and by adding the tour pack, I have a touring bike that will haul as much as a EG without the plastic/fiberglass. I have always loved the look of the softails (old school) and softail springers.
I ride a fatboy. I was originally torn between a fatboy or a heritage classic. Got a good deal on it so i grabbed it.Decision was made for me i guess. No regrets.Love the look and the ride.
