Just spoke with Angie and Phil is awake. He has a headache, but is alert.
She told him that he has a double fractured skull and staples in his head. Phil replies, "Wow, that sounds painful."
I love it, he has not lost that sense of humor! Just hearing that he is awake and about his response, was an awesome feeling. Let's keep up with the positive vibes and the prayers, they are obviously working.

Phil's back. 
Thanks Joe.
Spoke to Angie about a half an hour ago, Yes Phil is awake but in a lot of pain, they gave him some oral pain meds, but he bitched cause his throat hurt ( to be expected due to the ventilator. She said he is a bit agitated which I guess can be expected. She said that he thinks he fell off his bike and she explained that he was run into. Overall I think it's been a very positive day and we all should keep doing what we have been doing, it's working..

Glad to hear he's steadily, but slowly, progressing.
Even with all the ragging he gets from (ALMOST) everyone, he still manages to crack a joke about the staples!
It's amazing how prayer and good thoughts get everyone through a time like this.
