Wyatt Footboard Kit?
I recently installed the Wyatt footboard kit on my 03 FXD. The right side was no problem. The left side shifter mods require you to abandon the shift lever on the back side of the primary case. The kit had two brackets included to secure the shift lever and keep it from bouncing around. One bracket was for 06 and up, the other for earlier models. Neither bracket came close to working on my Dyna. There's a raised boss cast into the back side of the primary case that prevents the lever from moving to the intended postion (all the way to the rear). No real challenge to modify the bracket, but the chrome plating suffered in the process. I'm sure it'll rust up as a result. V-Twin mfg did not reply to my email addressing this.
Aside from that, it seems to be a high quality kit. I really like the improved handling that results from the new foot position. I usually were a size 10 1/2 steel toed boot to work, so there's absolutely no way to get under the toe shifter for an upshift. But I bought the kit because I like to use my heel for upshifts. My 10 and a halfs fit OK between the heel and toe shifters but there isn't a whole lot more room to go. A fellow with 12's might have a problem.

Here's the clip from the VTwin set:

And an image of the short (older) version from HD on my bike:

IMO it's not that hard to make one yourself...
