Just put a metzler 120/70-21" on the front of my 05 WG. after 500 miles I love it. has a LOT more ground clearance which I needed. Indy said he had done several of them and had no problems.
Did you put that on the stock rim? Do you have pics?

its on a stock rim, clears the fender. I will get some pics tomorrow and try and get it posted. have a busy week and weekend. 30 horses and some equipment to help get rid of Saturday. so dont hold your breath.
OK, so this is what I ended up doing. I stayed with the stock rim and found a tire with the widest specs for that rim, as per recommendations from other forum members. Anyway this should've been an Avon 90/90 Roadrider AM26. But I was somewhat disappointed to find that the specs were a bit over-rated. The width spec for my stock Dunlop was 3.25". The same spec for the new tire was supposed to be 98mm or 3.90" but it actually measured 3.625" (3 5/8"). So instead of being nearly 3/4" wider than stock it was only about 3/8" wider. Still an improvement though.
Here's the 120/70-21", but had to relace to a 3.25" rim.
Fenders fit close but works fine..
I had a 21" on mine when I got it recently and sold it and got a 19" as it looked too skinny for the lighting. You've got that thing stuffed in there but it looks great!

I just measured my Avon Venom 90/90B-21 FRONT (AV318), it measures at 3.75". I would contact Avon and find out whats up with their specs, was it a misprint?
I don't know if it was a misprint-I saw the same specs on more than one site, along with Avon's own website. I would've just bought the Venom if I'd known this before. The width for it is listed as 94mm, 3.70" while the Roadrider is listed as 98mm, 3.9"-but the Venom is wider!
