Hello all, I've got a problem on my hands, maybe some can solve. Upon building my Dyna I had accidentally tightened an acorn nut, and pinched a wire clean off in the process. I'm looking for a specific part not sold by Harley anymore, a Set of Black Illuminated Mirrors from HD. I'm tempted to pull them apart and see if I can't fix them myself, but if someone has them on the side and they don't plan on using them, I will gladly take them off your hands.
Part number being 92068-08A
Pictures for reference
I would be pretty sure that if you took off the mirror you would be able to resolder the broken wire. If your not confident soldering then take it to a auto electrician and see if they can repair it. Got to be cheaper repairing it (if it can be repaired) as opposed to replacing

Tried solder, wire broke/frayed further up the stem.
I do plan on replacing the bars again, and the internal wires so I'll keep doing my research until I find a viable replacement. Custom Dynamics sells a set, but not interested in gloss black/chrome or the new style, they kinda look tacky.
I actually found a gentleman on YouTube who replaced the board inside of the mirror with LED strips, but lost the sequential signal, I do use these for my indicators. Bike is stripped of all bullet signals and switched to integrated.
Can the mirror be removed from the housing?
I've seen this procedure on OEM (non-electrical) Sportsters.
If the mirror glass is removed, access to the wire (pull it out of the stem) may be 100%
Good luck.

Thank you! Im almost positive it can be done, just waiting for the weekend to try. I will post pictures of progress if it does work
