Had some work done on my 2013 FLSTC
Late posting on this as I picked her up from the shop Saturday Morning. First week of March, I had completed my stage 1 mods, installing the high flow air filter to go with the slip on pipes the prev owner put on. I put the tune in using a power vision 4 and fired right up, sounding immediately better! 45 mins into my test ride, lost all power while in fast lane, managed to pull over without issue. Had bike picked up and taken to Motorcycle Goodies in Everett WA. These guys are awesome, and my preferred shop out of everyone in the area. The boys found loose push rod on front exhaust valve, and low compression on front cylinder that was valve related. Took both cylinders completely off, removed camchest and found no obvious smoking gun... ring worn but not bad. Valve a little beat up he said, but turns out needed 3 new valves (1 cracked and pitted and that showed when he was working the valve). I figured that since he pulled the whole camchest and I was paying for him to reassemble it anyhow, I had him put in the Fueling Reaper 543 cam...the "Freeway Flier" that was going to be my '06 winter project. So new cams, new lifters, new tensioners, new injectors, new rings, new plugs, all new oil all round, associated gaskets etc. First freeway ride this morning, 1.5 of complete bliss at 3AM to work. Very pleased with the feel and performance from the new cams!
