So I just saw on Facebook that Fuel moto is making a external breather that looks exactly like the factory one some of us have bought. I do not know if the insides are the same, asked if it was, lets see what they say.
Interesting after the prior thread.
My dealer keeps telling me he can't order one until June. I'm tired of waiting so I just ordered this one from Fuel Moto. It does cost a bit more but as I said, I'm tired of waiting.
I do wonder about the yellow piece though. Hopefully there's some sort of instructions with it as to where it goes.
According to the video that Hattitude posted, there is a labyrinth of oil baffles inside the OEM cover. Maybe, for Patent reasons, FuelMoto added that yellow thing to accomplish the same thing, but differently?
I'd be interested to see what one looks like installed with that filter. I've thought about getting the new OEM top cover and running a hidden hose somewhere, but I'm not really having any issues at the moment so I keep forgetting about it. I will say I had my oil pump upgraded to the Screamin Eagle unit when I first got my 23 Limited with the 447 cam. Is it possible the improved scavenging of the SE pump would prevent some of the oil mist from gunking up the intake?
Actually bought and installed this part from them already. Fits fine, no leaks and so far no oil on the throttle blade thus far. Headed to south Dakota from Arkansas at the end of the month. Ought to be a good test
