Default 24 SG throws codes and possible new 26?

Yea....what a stupid title right? Longer post.... just want some forum thoughts...

I have a stage one 24 SG with the Screamin' Eagle Tuner. I got a new phone and forgot to unpair the old one but fear not...HD has a quick option to unpair and then pair the new phone. Didn't work but the throttle trick did and the phone paired/unpaired with the tuner but while doing so it had an interruption in signal connection which resulted in throwing code C11000 and my ABS light is on now, but bike works well. I get the code on the bike not the app as error codes screen does not work for me anymore. It will not clear and the dealer service writer said to come on in, and it was cleared while out in the sallyport.... but it came back on the ride home. I know that will be fixed so that is not why I am entertaining trading it in....I like the 117 SG/RG platform.

But who cares right? I saw a sweet 26 RG Limited in white and black. I am at positive equity, and I spent over 2 hours with the sales. I never make decisions tired, so I got up and left and told them I wanted to check with my bank. I am at a CU and they have a 4.9 percent rate there and I can put a massive downpayment then get a purchase order. Why do I not just pay it all off? I have some good 7percent accounts I do not want to mess with.... I am ok doing 4 years finance and yes, I get the front-loaded 1st year interest is a killer but call me a crazy old fool.

After trade credit I got the bike at 31,700. (with tax/doc fee and 2000k down). I put 9500k on my SG and bought it without anything down. The miles are all in-state but want to do some travelling and really like what HD has done with the RG Ultra and SG Ultra. My take having ridden both is the RG handles the wind better and I like the higher bars without having to do anything extra. Love the flecks in the white paint as well. Not crazy about the black but I have a whiskey fire and black now.... I can grow to love it.

But what is the deal with Eagle mark? They want 7.99 percent for a loan. are they crazy?! And they wanted references? No one has asked me for references in forever.... maybe they wanted some contacts to call for sales? I gave them nothing!

Just wanted thoughts......gripes that you have come across... For me the Screamin eagle tuner worked great until the new phone came out. But I am reading that the app does not play well with the iPhone IOS.
The dealer is a large corporate dealer.... went from 42000 w/o tax/title to 32000 so there is a plus. Good salesmen as well.... very positive but I guess that's a given......

Thanks....

I was just exaggerating of course and usually by MY 4 they become much better...I'm just extremely disappointed with their poor testing and Quality Control..they have been building these for over a century and boast about that..being the expensive luxury vehicles they are, we deserve much much better .. the thing that upsets me most is after 3 years now they still have ignition coil failures and issue a service bulletin for a repair kit...this is a widespread problem that should have been a Safety Recall ... maybe if their chief engineer would experience these crapping out, stumbling and limping along suddenly on a Interstate highway with Semi Trucks and traffic going over 70, and they can get lucky to safely get off the road and discard their soiled underwear, they might understand the severity of the situation. I've used up ~half of my 9 lives on these the last two years
