Interested to see how Harley makes this happen since they reportedly sold the blueprints and tooling to produce the EVO XL engine to Shineray (Xinri group) in China. Shineray is building a near exact clone of the 1200 sportster through their Italian subsidiary SWM. Harley's claim that the EVO XL was primarily discontinued because it could not meet Euro5 was obviously BS. The SWM 1200 engine published specs are identical to H-D's 1200 EVO and is fully Euro 5 compliant.
Thanks for the link - looks like a real marketing / business plan.
Interesting Thier view on projected Dealer Profit and the Dealers view similar. And surprised service revenues weren't higher. But Brand loyalty still industry leading.
The Sportster looks like it has the traditional rear fender, too. If it has mid controls, even better.
I guarantee you that rear fender will look like crap, like they have on the last few years of M8.
Screwing up rear fenders is what Harley does best.. just look at the new fat boy, the last generation wide glide, or the breakout. Not to mention that gosh awful fxdr. Didn't think Harley could build a worse looking bike than the rocker, but they sure managed to with that one.
