I need some help to find out if the rail is just a bolt on. I do see some listings for the rail. Show fits up to 2014 deluxe. Is there a difference between the 2014 and 2017? Can someone post a photo of their deluxe with this rail on their stock seat?
The parts diagrams on www.harley-davidson.com > Parts > Shop OEM Service Parts show that Part No 52691-05 Grabrail was stock on both 2014 and 2017 FLSTN.

Probably becoming increasingly moribund! With the last Twin Cam model year being 2017 i.e. 9 years ago, many members will no doubt have moved on to the Malarkey8 Milwaukee8.

I also saw that the frame is the same but the seller insisted that it wont fit. He must be wrong

If HD's part numbers match up for the different years I would probably trust it.
If it was Amazon, eBay or other places I don't often trust their fitment charts. I've found them to be inaccurate too many times.
I was going to go out and check our Deluxe, but it's a 2005 and I'm sure would be of zero help to you.
If you get it sorted out, post back. Maybe someday another user will be looking for the same information.
