Fuel Guage and Left Turn Signal Indicator not working
I have a 2014 Street Glide Special that seems to have an electrical problem. The far left module houses the fuel gauge and the left turn signal arrow. Both have stopped working, however the left turn signals are working correctly, it's just the indicator lamp that isn't working. I figured that it was a ground issue but haven't been able to identify. I've checked all the fuses and they are not blown and are seated properly. Any suggestions? There are 3 wires going into the connector, one is hot when the switch ignition switch is on. Thanks
Thanks! That was the first thing I tried. There are 3 wires that go to the gauge. I have 12v on the red wire when I turn the switch on. I figure the other 2 wires are "ground" that is switch somewhere but I can't figure out the wiring diagram. I appreciate you reply and any help!!!! Thanks, Marty
When you mention the gauge cluster, I assumed you meant the one that goes to the affected gauge but you could be talking about another cluster. I'll keep looking.
Thank you, I removed the small wiring harness, all pins appear to be straight and there is no corrosion that I can see. I could spray some contact cleaner in there and will try that. I've also wiggled it with the switch on to see if there may be a loose connection but couldn't find anything. Could the gauge simply be bad? I didn't know if that would stop both the turn signal indicator and the fuel gauge to quit working of if they are two separate items. Thanks for helping..

Use a multimeter, a wire can break inside the connector even if it appears good.
Add temporary external ground jumper Added temporary ground jumper, still not working.
Spray contact cleaner Sprayed contact cleaner, still not working.
Re-test
If still dead:
replace the fuel gauge assembly/module.
I wonder if I can trust ebay dealers or should order from Harley???? And then figure out how to disassemble so I can take the lower screw out that is covered by the radio brackets lol. Thanks for your help, I'll let you know.
