2002 883 XLH
I am aware and have read in both Sportsterpedia and posts here that ignition coil polarity on my 2002 Dual Fire coil is a non issue. However, as I reassemble the bike after being apart for a decade or more I am trying to match original factory condition as much as possible.
My HD Service Manual states:
"Positive and negative wires from the coil.
Note their position for assembly.
The White and Black wire connects to the Positive terminal.
The Pink wire connects to the Negative terminal."
The 2 terminals on the coil are not marked + or -. Can anyone tell me, with the coil installed in it's mount, which side of the coil is positive, the terminal on the bikes left side or the right side one?
I think it probably doesn't matter how you connect the powered wires to my 2002 coil but like I said I'm trying to re-create the original factory configuration in as many details as possible, haha, a little OCD here...
