I bought my bike used. I bought nothing but hardware bits, grips and two round mirrors from H-D. I do all my own work. I'm keeping it until I'm too wobbly to ride anything, regardless of what some Indian/Royal Enfield salesman says. Cutting my nose off to spite my face is not my style.
I've been saying this ever since Starrs was selected (by Jochen Zeitz, has his personal hand-picked successor). Starrs is an idealogical clone of Zeitz. So I'm not surprised to see Robby Starbuck bringing the receipts.
That is your opinion. Some people would argue that they already do, in fact, have a life. In any case, I can't see how shining a little sunlight into the corners hurts anything, and if makes some roaches scramble away, that's a bonus.
For my part, I don't really see anything about today's HDMC to celebrate. A company that has survived and thrived on "tradition" and "heritage", and loves to be seen as an iconic American brand, now actively espouses and supports values that are diametrically opposed to "traditional" American values. Some people will be bothered by that, and some won't. To each his own. But the open and free exchange of knowledge and facts with documentation and receipts is, IMO, never a bad thing.

If someone wants a Harley and they worry about that silly crap reflecting bad on a Harley, not sure how they survive in this world.
They sure have thin skin.
If anything, it's the overreacting conservative bringing down everything from Budweiser to Harleys and all the other silly thin skinned whining they do because they think someone else doesn't march to their drum beat.
Is woke even a thing? Sure doesn't mean anything to me.

The video actually showed up yesterday on my YouTube feed. I clicked on it to learn it is old news, about 11 months ago.
So far I think the new CEO has made some positive moves with the company.
I think every CEO deserves a chance. I am not for the woke BS, but how much of that is a CEO actually pushing and how much he he/she being forced.
Thankfully the country is finally pushing back onnthis bull crap.
I would hate to be the guy having to right the MoCo ship in this economy. To me it is a delicate balance that takes an individual with a wide variety of skill sets.
For the sake of the brand, the employees, dealers and vendors I hope HD survives for another 120+ years.
As for the YouTube guy, he needs to take a deep breath. Does he really think we are all going to sell our bikes, move to a different brand and abandon HD as a whole?
God Bless America and God Bless the most iconic motorcycle brand in the world.
Who is this whiny a$$? HD didn't lose hundreds of millions because of being woke. They lost money because of dumb decisions and bike misfires. I am a strong conservative, but this rash of "influencers" who try to claim everything is woke and needs to go is getting old. The ultra far right is causing true conservatives to move further away from them. Today's business world requires some level of DEI in all major corporations. It is here to stay and some folks need to just move on and find something else to whine about. Notice, I said some level. Not all in, flush everything else out. The American workplace is becoming more diversified everyday with the younger generations coming in.
