Greetings,
After 5 years, I've come back to Harley Davidson. Over those 5 years, I rode two BMW's. There are many reasons. Most of you know the reasons...so, I won't bloviate over the differences. My new ride is another Harley - '26 Street Glide (black on black). Very happy with the decision and glad to be back. Now it's time to get all those accessories. Looking forward to this forum.
Welcome back Marine. Five years ago HD touring bikes were getting a bit outdated, and a lot of the dealers were being jerks. I bought a Goldwing about that time. It's a good bike but... well, it's not a Harley. Were you on a R1250RT?

Greetings,
Oorah. I heard a few horrible stories about some dealerships - costs for new bikes, delays in maintenance, lack of customer service...etc. Let's hope those days are behind us. I switched from a Street Glide Special to a BMW K1600B and then, the new R1300RT. The "bagger" was smooth and powerful. The RT full of technology, but not the most comfortable for touring. The Street Glides have changed quite a bit over the last 7 years (I had a '19). I could not be happier and very glad to be back.
