so I finally convinced myself to do the full four speaker hertz audio set up and was going to order from volunteer audio. But after some research on the company, I am not sure I wanna deal with them. I think the hertz audio set up can be ordered from anywhere. My only concern is I’m not sure how to properly set up the gains on the amp because that is something that volunteer audio supposedly does before they ship it out. it looks like Crutchfield offers the same kit only I would be on the hook for setting it up properly.
Volunteer audio is an awesome company. Their pre-setup is setting the high pass filter and setting gains based on the speakers you got. You also purchased a common new head unit which they also deal with with low-outs, so they have that baseline. There is nothing special about an actual your bike, vs my bike that would cause the baseline setup to be any different. Can they be fine tuned after install, absolutely, but out of the box with VA's pre-tuning you are 98% there. You'll never notice that 2% unless you are a serious audiohead. Crutchfield is also a great company, decent tech support, but you will be responsible for the tuning and setup.
Hmm, I read quite a few of the 206 Google Reviews (4.7 stars) for Volunteer Audio and the few negative reviews were for bullsh*t reasons, which they responded to with clarification. They seem to be on the up-and-up. 🤷🏻

thanks, fellas, and as I said, I’m pretty much just ordering parts with of them just adjusting the levels so I think I’ll be OK. Looks like the credit cards getting used on Monday
Volunteer is a great a company with great customer service.
The issue I have with them is they are a 1 system fits all riders. And when you buy a pre tuned kit, it is tuned very conservatively, very.
Not using all the available power and no bass.
I get it from a business standpoint though.
You’ll get a loud system, but don’t be surprised if your missing some mid bass, bass and volume.
Just purchased a Soundstream V2 from Jay. Just showed up unannounced, asked some questions, gave him some cash and now I have a nice radio. No issues dealing with him whatsoever and I would say he went out of his way to answer everything I asked.
