I would like to get a recurve for my Fatboy. I have the Ventilator Shield from HD and not crazy about it. Long Ride Shields makes recurves that you use your HD hardware on and just swap out the shield. Problem is a couple of the dimensions on the Ventilator Shield are a little different than the standard "King Size" shield that the dimensions are based on. Any body know of a company that can drill based on the Ventilator shield?
Instead of drilling out a new shield, why not just keep an eye open for some used mounting hardware?
That way you can swap out shields depending on what you're feeling or you could sell the ventilator setup to help offset the cost of the new shield and hardware.
I have a 21" Klock Werks Billboard Flare for my Heritage that I put on for long rides and still have the stock 17" for everyday use.
I have mounting hardware on both so it's a 30 second deal to swap them out.
