Came across a pretty clean garage kept 2002 Deuce with only 14K miles. Has V&H pipes and quick detached windshield. Only 2 owners and seller has had the bike since 2006. He is asking $8K OBO for it. What do you guys think the bike is worth? It's not for me so don't want to advise my buddy to purchase it if the price is not fair. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks...
I've got a 2003 Deuce and love it. Great riding bike, long wheelbase. No, it's not a Dyna, rides like and is a softail. But plenty of bike for me and my relatively reasonable riding style. 33k miles and zero issues except for a no start last Saturday. Turned out to be loose battery connection, which I fixed in about ten minutes.
2002 was the best year of the TC 88. Forged crank, Timken crank bearings and the much improved Delphi EFI. If your buddy fits the bike and is fine with a non-bagger, that's a very decent deal.
He fits the bike and doesn't needs bags. He's just on a budget and is looking for his first HD that he can buy cash. We're actually going to check it out today and hopefully ride it back home.
I've got an '03 Anniversary Deuce; CVO SE, and I love it. Put a Mustang solo seat, soft bags and a back and a rack for 'stuff'. I like that it does not have footboards I much prefer pegs and with the forward controls, when I place my feet down at a stoplight or whenever my boots will not interfere with anything.
