Bryan
I'm refering to what Jeepster09 and Harleypigman said in
the post (vote for PhilM) in the Touring sectionabout
voting over and over and over...
As for posting in the Softail section. That's cool. It's all in
good fun.

I always vote for the bike I think has the best presentation it has to be the complete package I do not let a paint job or one thing blow me away it has to feel good when you look at it you see it as a whole. Yes i like the deluxe and its my bike of choice but it wont stop me from voting for a bike that I think is better. Lets face it just about every bike on this forum is a winner and to its owner for sure. I really cant vote just because the guy has the same bike if it worthy it gets my vote.

well take from someone who had his *** kicked two months in a row in the BOTM race, I dont mind getting beat by nice bikes, but it really pissed me off to get beat by a photochopped bike with decals........hey....Im just saying......lol

Different subject, I have owned alot of softails in my day, and like them, and my favorite was always the deuce, but it just never really caught on, nobody would make parts etc, have always wondered why, cause I have always though Duece's were damn nice looking, anybody got any theory's?

Well said Nikon. Can't understand why someone would vote for a bike solely because it's the same model as the one they own. I like the nostalgic look which is what I look for when I vote regardless of model.

Probably because they are a one-off style. If it were the other way around where more bikes had short seats with long tanks, the aftermarket companies wouldn't make much for the short tank/long seat combo. Look how long it's taken the aftermarket companies (larger names) to build the 200mm softail seats (especially solos). Believe they were making sure Harley was going to keep marketing them first.

Gees Bryan, quit calling us names, You'll give us a complex and cause us to walk funny and vote the wrong way...I have a softail, would like to buy an older pan or shovel to make a fat tire hot rod out of...if not, a Dyna Lowrider, I hear the dynas are faster (without the balancer)...I think we vote our preference, nothing wrong with politicking I suppose...
