Default fishtail options.

I want a set of 36" Fishtails for my Bike. I found Freedoms on ebay and Bassani pipes. The bassani pipes look closely identical to samson mini cholos. I haven't read any reviews though. The old bassani pipes were ugly with the weird bends in the head pipes but the ones I'm looking at now look great in the pictures. I would get Samsons if I didn't have to wait 12 months for them. Any word on the Bassani pipes? Any other options I may be over looking? Thanks

I've heard good things about Freedom. I've got Samsons, but I got them before their recent troubles. They're great if you can wait for them.

I can't speak to Bassani Duals but I once ran their Pro Street pipes on my Train. They were a quality product, well constructed with a great finish. The only anomaly I encountered with them was that they were constructed with a heavy gauge metal and the curl-back which makes up the header flange was to large to use standard cone shaped exhaust gaskets. Had to use flat gaskets.

Don't count out the freedoms! I just put a set on my heritage springer. Bought them for the same reasons you are stating, Sampson is taking FOREVER to get their sh*t together! I love em! Sound fantastic, super loud, and the fit and finish is excellent. JMO of course...

Freedom Performance is a "shirtail spinoff" of V&H. I have their Signiture Perfomance slip on on my Heritage and they outperform 2 other brands I had on previus to these. I love 'em

I have Freedom's on my Heritage, love the sound and the fit and finish is perfect. Love the look and even with Baffles they sound great.

Any idea where to get the best price Freedoms?
I see Samson True Dual Header Pipes for sale on ebay. Then I would need to pick up the 36" mufflers too. I'm leaning towards Freedom since no one has run the Bassanis.

Well I bought the Bassanis on ebay for 499. They are 36" Fishtails with a small scuff on the tip. My plan is to eventually pick up 39" Buky Bars this winter. I hope I'm not disappointed. I've read great reviews on Bassani alone. The picture Bassani has of this system looks very similair to Samson fishtails. I figured I'd bite the bullet on this one. I'll keep yall posted.
