Thinking of picking up a set of 16" Gangster Ape Blems from Carlini. Wondering if getting the PC'd white would look good along with the intake Elbow and maybe a few other pieces. Just thinking of adding some contrast. Too much?
I think that would look great and really set your bike apart. However, if you went that route I would almost want to see your headlight bucket also done in white with the trim ring left chrome.
When I was considering how much to pc I posted a pic up in the photoshop section and a guy photoshopped different parts in different colors. Really helped me "see" what it would look like and found I needed to do more parts to get the look I was going for. On a side note I bought blemed gangsters and pc them, only thing I would change is to see if the carlini badge could come off. Don't like how it looks pc.
PC is like crack, one hit and your hooked. I started toning down the chrome a bit and you'd be surprised how good it looks for not much money. I left my drag bars chrome but I think apes would look good PC'd gloss black. My 12" Burly apes on the SG are gloss black and they look sweet.
Might just be me, but I think your bike looks pretty damn candy as is. It's contrast has just about perfect balance right now. Tip that scale to much either way and you might lose it. Maybe it's time for another bike? Just sayin'.
