Observations
I've had quite a few bikes and made lots of repairs. I am far from an expert and seem to learn something new with every project. Thanks to all the people on this forum who have given information, guidance, and feedback over the last few years.
Please for your safety, to save money, your bikes dependability, and to avoid your and any owners to follows heartaches;
Perform a little maintenance, repair problems when they first appear, fix it (don't cover it up) - solder (don't twist) - clean is good - lube - loctite - torque to specs (IT'S IMPORTANT). Know when to ask for help or when you are beyond your ability and resources.
FUNCTION is MORE IMPORTANT than SHINY.
