I bought the Hot Topper's Softail Kit on Ebay a few years ago and I haven't lost one yet. All of them still look great too!

I recently had to remove six Toppers for a quick mod and they popped right off by using a small flathead screwdriver. [sm=smiley20.gif]

Hot Toppers are awesome for trapping moisture and rusting your bolt heads.

I've got about 200 Hot Toppers on my Deluxe and have had for 2 years. I have not had any fall off, nor any rusty bolt issues. I guess living on th left coast helps with that. I did have an issue were the chrome wrinkled on the rocker box toppers, the ones applied with silicone. I wrote Hot Toppers & they sent me out free replacements for the failed ones. I do endorse this product.

Ride in the rain, wash you bike often, and give it time. I've seen it.

..rust/corrosion generally aren't an issue with "hot toppers" as they are plastic..now the metal type..like HD headbolt covers are a different story..dissimilar metals and all that.

I got them. They really make the bike look a lot nicer. I'd recommend using a little clear silicone on the ones that don't stay on tightly. Only two problems I see with these things. One, they are a tad bit expensive for what they actually are. And two, they can be hard to get off without damaging when you have to work on your bike. They do come with a lifetime warranty, which is a plus. Some dealers honor it for damaged covers when taking them off.....

Have them all over my bike and have only lost one, and its in a location where it can't be seen. Easily removed with a small slotted screwing driver or some needle nosed pliers. Look great at a fraction of what chrome bolts would cost you.
