If I can give you one piece of wise advice, make sure you cover your tank with enough padding! Just in case...

I just did risers on my low mileage '04 and not the bushings. The poly bushings are now on order.

Wait, what? A 14 year old bike with less than 1000 miles? WTF?

Default I agree

+1 on poly bushings, and you can keep the stock cables. I did this job on my 13 fatboy last summer and wish I'd done it when I bought the bike...Big difference in comfort as mentioned before. The dealer told me to use loctite also, FYI. Don't be worried, it is an easy job, just make sure the tank and front fender is covered for protection if your clumsy and drop bolts and other things like me.

Got my 4.5" risers on today. Just what I needed! Got them from J&P. Was able to reuse the stock top clamp which I like. Risers even came with cool little chrome covers for the top clamp bolts. Job was ez. Thanks for all the help...this forum rocks!

pipes
mufflers

It will never stop now that you know how easy it is to work on these bikes...!
