Best advice... make sure you buy a service manual.

It will pay for itself many times over..

Have fun

Did you end up doing the bushings to? I did mine without and the bars were crooked. You can see the misalignment where the risers meet the bushings.
I tried adjusting but that only helped so much. I am going to put the poly
bushings in tomorrow and see how that works out.

I didn't do the bushings. Mine were crooked at first too. Had to loosen them and re-tighten a couple times to get them right. I have the poly bushings but didn't use because I was concerned there might b more vibration in the bars without the rubber there. Anyway mine were in good shape.

^There will be minimal added vibration with the poly bushings, they do a very good job of absorbing the vibes but also keep the bars from moving. What bars did you put on again?

IIRC, the OP used his stock bars but added 4" risers.

Correct. Stock bars were used. After the install and test ride I decided I wanted to have the bars a bit closer so I loosened top clamp and adjusted and re-tightened. Well, I went to try it out today and those bars are crooked again! So tomorrow it comes apart and the poly's go in. I'll post up the results. Atrox, did you get yours in?

Installed drag specialties poly bushings today. Had to adjust a couple times to get em straight. No vibration issues and a nice solid feel. Very happy with the combo.

No, I really got lazy this weekend. I am leaving work early today to do it.
