Cool Seat Fitment

Has anyone put a seat from a 2006 Screaming Eagle Fatboy (pictured) on a 2008 to about a 2012 Fatboy? The 2006 SE Fatboy had the 200 rear tire. It appears that it will fit but would like to see if anyone has successfully done it.

Likely not, due to fuel tank sizes are different

have you though about going to any seat maker and Cross Referencing their seats to get you an answer

it'll take you about 60 secs to find out if it'll fit..

Fuel tank on a 2006 is the same size and shape as that of a 2008-present. If the 06 is an EFI bike then chances are the tanks are almost identical with some minor differences starting in 2012.

The nose of the seats fit the same across the board. It's the mounting at the rear of the seat that you need to determin. If you own a post 08 fatty then you know the rear of those seats mount the rear fender via two thumb screws. Earlier model softail seats used a tab on either side that bolted to the frame just above the oil tank. Looking at that picture you posted, I don't see evidence of those side mounting tabs. It's quite possible the seat uses that same double thumb screw set up as the newer bikes.

Have you tried looking up photos of that screaming eagle seat and see how it's made on the bottom?

I agree look up the years and see if #s match. Other than that, I don't mean to sound rude, but if you really want it for whatever reason, make the modifications. The biggest thing is if they fit the frame contour, other than that the under fender 2 bolt plate and plastic keepers are only about $15, if your willing to take the time to measure, mark, and not afraid of damaging paint drilling new holes. I've done it on several bikes.

I can tell you that on a 2006 Heritage I had years ago, you could mount the Two Bolt solo seat to the Rear Fender or the two bolt attachment under the seat. Check your bike to see if you have that option on the bike.
