Default Hard lowers for softails?

Do they have these? I have some on my RK, and my GF was asking if she can get the same type for the Fatboy she rides. I know they have soft lowers, just wondering if any of you guys have hard lowers on your bikes?

I did see the ones offered by Leather Pros, however, I am not sure if they are what I am looking for. Not crazy about how they look.

Should I just tell her, "too bad, get a Road King"?

I'm sure something can be made to fit, however other than leather ones from such as Leather Pros I haven't seen anything. I think the Leather Pros aren't too bad but the price is around $450 I believe.

I'll keep my softlowers that I take off in the spring and put back on in the fall.

Ummm, at the risk of leaking my ignorance, what are hard or soft lowers? Do I know them by another name? Are we talking about some form of leg protection? I guessed at that based on Bluravens comments about removing them in spring.

My buddy has some cheap ebay soft lowers and the #57400143 fork mounted wind deflectors. That's about as good protection that ya can get on a softail.

I bought the leather pros for my heritage about 3 years ago. I got the deluxe glove box style. They require some twisting to put them on but they do a really good job of protecting your legs from cold wind or rain. Having the glove boxes is nice also for storing extra gloves, maps or tossing your glasses in when you do a pit stop.

I think it's one of those either you love 'em or hate 'em kinda looks.
I personally like the look and use of them, but I'm not sure if I like them or will use them enough to drop $500+ on them.
