What is wrong with dual front brakes? if you have a wide enough front tire to take advantage of the additional stopping power than why not have it. I would rather have it just incase than need it and wish I had it to save my life.

Op, I like the dually setup. Did you go bagger trees or just find a right side dresser lower and lose the salad bowl??
Thx!
Yes, a beefier frankenstein front end fork/triple tree kit with single piston brake calipers were installed. These parts came from the 85-99 era. The headlight fairing and cow bells have been replaced too.
as far as sufficient braking power, it is controllable but need to learn how to modulate the rear as well.

How about that carb? Did it cure the cough and how is the performance. The prices on them are pretty good.
I will be installing them after the holidays. I am still waiting on the Screamin Eagle plugs and wires. Email Dale directly, owner of Killer Motorcycle's, to have discounts. He gave me a good deal on black friday sale including high-performance gaskets, easy idle screw, and choke cable with HD ****. I've been reading excellent reviews of his products in this forum, makes me very excited.
9. Illumination - continuing mods after the holidays, I installed LED daymaker replica and alloy art flushed front turn signal. While I'm at it, I had to fix the splices and soldering mess by using plug-in connectors. I also used braided wire loom for that OEM look. The look-a-like daymaker headlight has the same - output plus 50% price cheaper compared to the OEM HD.

10. Upkeep - back to the maintenance neglect, I had to refer to BUYING USED MOTORCYCLES 101 by changing out the basic wear and tear parts. The fork oil and transmission fluid were pass due for maintenance - they were dirty! The plugs and wires were replaced too in order to serve the modified CV carb better. I mixed 50/50 Screamin Eagle extra heavy fork oil and the regular "E" for the preferred dampening stiffness. All in all, with a few bucks spent for maintenance, my bike runs smoother and better.

11. Baffles and lollipops - installed a homemade pipe reducer with washer lollipops for torque and sound. The key to this mod is positioning the washer lollipops 6" away from the end of the pipe. I can not find a baffle that fits the "swept" feature of the LSD radius exhaust so I had to make my own. The difference from the other expensive washer baffles and ring pipes is that I incorporated curve and flare to the body. The inlet is shorter and wider than the outlet for that venturi effect and faster velocity. Now the baffles conforms with the flow and shape of the exhaust. It is not a perfect design but with a few practice of pipe bending and welding, the $20 cost suffices the fabrication.
Better growl and low-end performance!

12. Breathing - of course, I need to take care of the inhale after the exhale mods by using an Arlen Ness big sucker. I opted to stay with the OEM look and to cover the air filter from weather. The breather bolts were replaced too to compliment the sleeper look. Finally the essential maintenance of this bike is complete and its time to tune that bitchin carb…
Maintenance completed:
o Modified CV carburetor by Killer motorcycles
o Replaced Screamin Eagle iridium spark plugs
o Replaced Screamin Eagle plug wires
o Replaced Screamin Eagle ignition coil
o Replaced Arlen Ness big sucker
o Modified air cover
o Replaced breather bolts by DK customs
o Installed LSD radius exhaust with baffles and lollipops
o Replaced all fluids

OP, incredible build sir!! Really like what you did with the rear turns. I have the AA front LED's on my ride, but never cared for the look of AA's strut mounted rear turns. Yours are deffinately different. They mount in the middle of the strut instead of at the end. Tried AA's website, but it is under construction. Do you mind including a link to where you found these?
